Wonderful fine steel engraving entitled Bridge of St. Angelo, Rome, salvaged from the Poetical Works of Lord Byron, published 1867 by R. Martin of New York.
This image shows not only the bridge, but the Castle of St. Angelo off to the right, St. Peter's Basilica off in the distance (center), the Tiber River in the foreground with several merchant boats, and some activity along the river's edge.
Skillfully engraved. Measures appx. 9 1/2' Wide by 6 1/4' Tall... the image area alone is appx. 7' Wide by 4 1/2' Tall. The back is blank.
Condition is Excellent / Outstanding, with No Rips, No Tears, No Holes, No Bends, No Folds, No Wrinkles, No Stains, No Damage, Very Slight Edge Discoloration.
